Important Information about the Ladies County Triples League and AGM
I hope this finds you all fit and healthy and gradually adjusting to what has become the new normal in these strange times.
I would like to give you an update from the NCWIBA:
Firstly, at an Officers meeting last week it was decided that the County League could not start as scheduled at the beginning of October 2020. This step was not taken lightly but it was felt that many members are very wary about returning to bowls and whilst they will play at their own Club, where they know the procedures, they would not be happy to play elsewhere. Small Clubs are unable to play on all rinks and maintain Social Distancing and this together with travelling issues was the basis for the decision.
However, if over the next couple of months circumstances change we could restructure the league or play using a different format, (eg 4 x Pairs or 1 x Singles, 1 x Pairs, 1x Triples) starting in the new year. If your Club would like to take part in a restructured league please let me know by the end of September.
There will be no County Friendlies or Competitions this season. We would like to thank Jenny Ramsbottom for all the work that she has put in over the last few years by keeping the Friendly team running smoothly. Thank you, Jenny, your input has been much valued and appreciated.
We are very short of Officers now and would really welcome some help; please get in touch with Lilian Barber (Acle IBC) or myself for more details.
We are unable to hold an AGM at this current time, however we will continue to run the Association for the coming season and a meeting will be arranged as soon as it is feasible to do so.
