Hello everyone and welcome to another new season of indoor bowls.
I'm hoping that it will come with far fewer problems than last year and that we are able to play all our games without interruption and in an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment and , of course, close competition!
The County Triples League has now started and already there have been one or two close encounters.
Sadly, Diss and Acle 'C' withdrew from the league just before the start of the season which has left a few gaps in our fixture lists. Hopefully when more members feel able to return and with our encouragement for new players to take up our sport we will see additional teams joining us next year.
The National Finals, which were scheduled to take place in April 2020, are finally underway in Nottingham.
Good Luck to all the players who will be representing Area 8.
I'm going on the 9th/10th to support Pam Frary and Louise Hannant from Gallow who are in the O60s Pairs and will write a report when I get back.
The Federation Finals are also taking place in Newark so good luck to our fellow bowlers who have made it to these finals.
It would be great to have the results of other players and teams published on this site so please send articles to Liz McMillan ( lizmcm84@gmail.com).
Please also feel free to send other news or interesting facts about your Club for publication.
The Atherley Team Trials will be held at NBC on 7th November @ 2pm. A form has been sent to all clubs for display on notice boards. If you are interested in taking part please complete the form or get in touch with me and I'll forward your details.
And finally, for now, we are still very short of Officers on the NCWIBA Committee....please, please consider putting your name forward to help. Many hands and all that!
